A State Department spouse, Marcelle founded and runs a professional consultancy, Career Valet, as her husband’s job takes them around the world. Marcelle spent 10 years in strategic communications working for the private sector and federal government in the U.S. and Russia before starting her resume writing and coaching business. She is passionate about helping her clients and foreign service and military spouses advance in their careers. When not raising her three children and running her companies, Marcelle loves to dance tap and hip-hop.
Marcelle holds an MBA from the University of Maryland and a BA from Georgetown University. She is a regular contributor to ClearanceJobs and is a former weekly contributor to the U.S. News and World Report On Careers blog. Marcelle is a certified professional resume writer (CPRW).
A U.S. Navy spouse and Certified Public Accountant, Maggie served for almost eight years as Finance Director for a multi-million dollar consulting company, while at the same time raising three kids and orchestrating four domestic and two international moves. After managing the recent acquisition of that company, she decided to set her sights on a more personal and service-oriented career path: helping fellow military spouses pursue their own professional goals. When not noodling on new business ideas, Maggie enjoys tai chi, piano lessons, dance parties with her three boys, and devising ways to outdo last year's birthday cakes.
Maggie holds an MS in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Maryland and a BA from the University of Pittsburgh.
Director of Business Development
An Army spouse, Beth has a background in all areas of sales, business development, and recruiting. After 10 years in business development roles, an overseas assignment to Germany forced her to quit her dream job and get more creative about her career, which is when she found ServingTalent. Beth first reached out to the company for help finding meaningful employment and was beyond ecstatic when they asked her to join the team, serving as the director of recruitment. She now leads business development efforts and is excited for what this new opportunity will bring to ServingTalent and military spouses. When Beth is not introducing the idea of military and foreign service spouse employment to new clients, she can be found coaching CrossFit, traveling with her husband, or loving her dog way too much.
Beth holds an MBA from Chaminade University of Honolulu and a BS in Communications from the University of Idaho.
Director of Recruitment
An Army spouse, Petya has a background in finance, compliance and auditing with experience in New York City and Bulgaria. Through those positions, she had to interact with various levels of management and quickly realized that her passion is not in the numbers but rather in communications and connecting people to solve a problem. However, after a military move to South Korea, she had to quit her job and start over again. Luckily, not long after the move, she discovered ServingTalent and became part of the team. Currently, she is heading recruitment, where she strives to understand the experience and skill set of our candidates to match them with an appropriate job opening.
Petya holds an MBA in Finance from Saint Peter’s University and a BS in Accounting from Saint Peter’s College.
Social Media Manager
As an Army spouse, Emily has experience in social media and communications with a focus in program management for nonprofits. After spending four years in the nonprofit sector she is leveraging that experience to tackle a problem that affects so many in her circle – military and government spouse unemployment and underemployment. Her work with ServingTalent allows her to do just that, reaching out to spouses all across the world. When not tracking social media conversations Emily is out running, cycling and volunteering.
Emily holds an MBA from Lindenwood University and a BS in Environmental Science from Indiana University.
